IRC client -- Must register?
I'm trying to use an IRC client (xchat) instead of the web interface and I've set the server to irc.everywherechat.com/6667 and it starts to connect, but tells me "IRC Client users must register" but I can't figure out how to register.
Anyone know how to do this? (Register) |

RE: IRC client -- Must register?
You need to log in via the webpage, using the Flash client. Then you can register a nickname to use with xchat.

RE: IRC client -- Must register?
You will have to install flash player, you will find it here http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/, since you have to enter
a room, i.e. Lobby (default), then click options, bottom right, register your nickname. There is no other way. EWC Admin |

RE: IRC client -- Must register?
hey;
If you want to go through the chat using any IRC clients such as mIRC you have first to log in through the web chat, and then choose register nickname from the menu in right bottom of the chat, after you do that, you will be able to connect to everywherechat through any IRC clients |

RE: IRC client -- Must register?
Signing in as aguest you won't see 'register' since guest names can't be registered. On the homepage, backspace 'guest' enter the name you want, and connect to the default room. You will then see 'register' unless the name is already in use by someone else, add a number or a letter to it.

RE: IRC client -- Must register?
my name is registered, yet it still kicks me off saying irc client users need to register first. The option to register nick is not there as i'm already registered. How to fix?

RE: IRC client -- Must register?
Perhaps you were a little too fast, it takes a bit of time until nickserv recognises the registered nickname. It is registered, I checked.
