Secret room settings won't save with chanserv command

Hi, brand new to this site. I host the chatroom JABers Only on my site and have read all FAQ. I am the owner, but the chanserv commands don't seem to work. All I wish is to make this room secret and not show up in the room list. I can do it through the interface, however when I log out and return, the settings are back to default. How can I fix this?

You need to register your nickname first then your room. Settings aren't permanent with both unregistered.
[NickServ] Nick mannix2 isn't registered.
[ChanServ] Channel #JABers isn't registered.
