RE: can not join my own room
We'll need to know your full IP address so we can check to see if you've been banned for any reason.

You might also want to verify your firewall does not block port 6667 outgoing.

In Windows XP, you can do a quick test by clicking Start > Run.

Type "cmd" without the quotes, and click OK.

A command prompt will pop up. Type the following without quotes, "telnet irc.everywherechat.com 6667"

Hit the enter key.

If it comes back with an error, it's most likely a problem related to your firewall or your ISP. If it does not come back with an error, then it may be a ban.

I would suggest sending a private message through the forum with your IP address, so it's not posted in the public area.

RE: can not join my own room
If the connection has failed, then it's definitely not a ban. You'll need to check your firewall settings. If it doesn't appear to be your firewall, it may be a problem between your ISP and our server.

RE: can not join my own room
Since each firewall is different, II can't give you detailed information, but firewalls have the option of 'Exceptions'. Add the program you want to unblock.
