Threaded Mode | Linear Mode

I am trying to get a password to stick on my chat. I used to have one that stuck but when I changed the password, it stopped sticking. The room is registered and I have tried mlock to no avail.

As i know to stick a password to a room you need someone to be in that room 24/7 or the room modes will reset , that would be posible if BotServ was enabled but is not. The only thing to do is to keep a client in the room 24/7 . mlock is working only after a user joins the room ( without needing the password to join )

I don't understand. If that were the only way, then mlock would not have worked previously. But, it did. I had the password sticking (with no one in chat!) and then had to change the key and now it won't stick.

If there was no way to make it 'stick' then how could it have (for months) previously?

Mlock

/msg chanserv set #channel mlock [mode]
this will set a mode to sta if you want password to be dog for example do
/msg chanserv set #channel mlock +k dog

just wanted to point out if ur on the flash client the mlock command will not work

This was rezolved in chat . with the mlock command and restricted

maybe it is but still good for thos that want to know info about the key & mlock mode

Ok..this was rezolved with the retricted command: /msg chanserv set #channel restricted on ... and mlock command: /msg chanserv SET #channel MLOCK +knst-ilmp "key" ( +s is for your channel to not be shown in channels list )
